In the summer of 2023, I reached a turning point. Unhappy with my job and facing a personal setback, I faced a choice: Continue down a path leading to burnout or take control of my career. I chose the latter, deciding to reclaim the driver's seat in both my professional and personal journey.

With over 17 years of experience in HR and Talent Acquisition, I had worked for major companies like Accenture, Coca-Cola, and Estée Lauder, leading teams and shaping recruitment strategies. From the outside, it may have looked like success, but I felt stuck - no longer thriving in my career. Corporate demands left me feeling disconnected from what truly mattered to me.

So, I took a leap of faith. I left my secure corporate job to embark on a journey of personal growth and self-discovery. I pursued coaching education to deepen my understanding of how to support others in navigating their careers and decided to start my own business as a Career Coach.

Throughout my career, I have experienced several challenges that shaped who I am today: 

 

• Giving up a high-paying job to move from Switzerland to Norway for love: This was probably the most pivotal decision of my life. It taught me to prioritise personal fulfilment over professional security and embrace the courage it takes to follow your heart. 

• Rebuilding my career in a new country during the pandemic: I faced the challenges of a small job market, language barriers, and fewer opportunities due to the pandemic. It strengthened my resilience, and I learned how to maintain a positive mindset during uncertain times. 

• Losing a dream job due to reorganisation: Facing this setback helped me separate my sense of self-worth from external circumstances. By focusing on what I could control, I found a new opportunity I liked even better. 

• Feeling stuck in a job from the start: This experience pushed me to seek clarity about what I really want. Working with a career coach during this time helped me redefine what success meant for me and ultimately inspired me to become a coach myself.

These experiences taught me to control what I can and define success on my own terms.

 

Today, I help my clients in navigating their own career challenges, helping them to find clarity, confidence, and fulfilment in their professional journeys.
